Everything, anything and nothing at all
You know those weeks where it feels like you are busy doing everything but nothing at all gets done. Well, nothing gets finished. Not properly. There is one more part, chapter, course, video, person to help or event to attend. You are everywhere and nowhere. Helping everyone and still managing to let people down around you. Yeah, it has been one of those weeks. I write this to empathise with you, the reader, that everyone has weeks like this. The everything, anything and nothing at all weeks. Where everything gets started, nothing gets finished and it feels like there is still so much to do.
I am not sure if this happens to everyone? Do neuro typical people have 17,634 things on their minds, always? Is there a diagnosis that I should be getting to medically order my thoughts? Or, is this just being an adult. Starting everything, finishing nothing and still feeling like there is so much to do. Today though, I want to make a commitment. A commitment to myself. That the most important things will always get done. And, that I am good enough to be responsible too. I always try to make this commitment but something for someone else to do a thing always seems to come up and so the things do not get built. The empire gets put on hold.
Anyone else’s empire on hold because of life? Or is it actually because of inability to make decisions about how I spend your time. It is likely the latter. Time to start making better decisions. First better decision, sit with this little story on a Sunday morning with a hot coffee and a fresh baguette in a dining room that past me would have only dreamt of sitting in.
