Hi, my name is Rachael and I am a …

Um… having a fucking identity crisis?

Today my list of titles includes: podcast host (of 12 episodes recorded and not published), unofficial sales, marketing and merch manager of Karlyl Group, CEO and founder of SPRKL, mum to two parrots, wife to Josh, sister, daughter, friend. In the last week I have spent more hours that I can count furnishing a whole house within a strict budget. Sounds super fun until its not. I have disappointed at least one friend. I have designed and created merch. I have cancelled at least 3 meetings. I took my old lady friend to the doctor. I forgot a friends birthday. And, I did not order the coffee pods that I said I was going to order 3 days ago.

I also went to women’s business event last weekend (the third event in two weeks). And, someone asked me what I did. Fuck me. That question. What is it that you do? What I want to say: I am currently in a transition from learning to teaching. I am mapping out and facilitating the coaching and leadership program that I needed throughout my career. I am giving people permission to change direction, or stay in a career that they used to love but do it in a way that makes them happy. I working on making people believe in themselves again. I am using the content I have learned from $1000s on professional development, 5 tertiary qualifications, 16 years as a lawyer, 20 years in corporate land, 1.5 years in government land, the lessons from mentoring at least 15 humans in different stages of their lives and the commitment of being the eldest daughter that takes it upon herself to be solely responsible for everyone’s happiness, to teach people that success looks different from the bullshit traditional version that we were fed 30 years ago when we were constantly asked “what do you want to be when you grow up?”.

And, because that is a really fucking long elevator pitch and people will walk away if I try get that out, I just say “Hi, I am Rachael. I help brilliant but burnout professionals work on living a version of their life that they want to live in and not one that was predetermined for them when they were 17. I do this by getting them to look inwards at their inner dialogue/self/beliefs and ask if they are part of the problem?” Even that … cool, cool, cool. What is that you do? I really need to work on articulating all of this. But, for now. This is it. This is what I do.

Oh… and, podcast host, sidekick property developer, content creator, blogger etc and so on and so forth.
