Abs, buns and guns classes - heated

Want to see how powerful women are? This is the place to do it. I shit you not, it is about 35C in that room and they are squatting with tiny dumbbells, doing weighted leg raises, using muscles they didn’t even know existed and, they are barely complaining about it. That is powerful.

I have recently gone back to the boujee gym near me. That gym has heated classes, its own cafe, a wellness room and lots of beautiful people. It would be the type of place that Gwenyth Paltrow would frequent if she was a commoner and not, well - Gwenyth. I used to go to this gym and used to take these classes but I forgot. And, I wasn’t making content back then so I have never really talked about all this before. But, heated classes are definitely a lesson in the audacity of showing up and bearing it all.

The women (maybe one man has entered one time, but he never came back) that attend these heated classes are super women. They are showing up with confidence (possibly because the room is dark). The majority of them walk into the room in a midriff. Half of the would never do that on the “outside” of heated class heaven but it is hot AF in there and no-one wants to be the person that finally passes out while attempting to hold a high plank when your forearms are so sweaty, your mat has turned into a slip and slide. So, they wear crops. They are rocking it. Then, they power through. Not out of obedience but out of sheer determination to be better. To feel good. To get strong.

At the end of the class, they diligently clean their mats, the gear used, wipe themselves off with their “cool” towel which is now questionably warm and go about their days. Yeah. I am one of those women again. I love it. You want to know what women are made of? Go to a heated abs, buns and guns class. In that class we are made of confidence, audacity, strength, power (and, a pool of sweat). If only we could teach the other women to show up in the world with the confidence of a woman in a heated abs, buns and guns class wearing a midriff.
